Essential Functions: 

• Coach and develop team members to drive performance and exceed program goals and objectives  
• Develop and implement processes to measures and drive performance  
• Direct and manage established processes associated with performing employee performance reviews, hiring, promoting, terminating, and disciplining employees  
• Accountable for all aspects of flagship business operations; manages and guides behaviors, trains and develops team, establishes, and maintains store culture. 
• Achieves fiscal goals, company objectives and operational excellence  
• Acts as the back-up liaison between the location, the Hershey Client Services Director, and Hershey’s Corporate  
• Ensures standards, goals, and vision are met and upheld 
• Participates in quarterly business reviews (QBR) and analysis of store P&L identifying opportunities and develops action plans to tighten controllable expenses and improve bottom line  
• Creates a welcoming and energetic environment built on Hershey’s Core Values with primary focus placed on providing customers and employees with a lasting positive experience 
• Sets clear goals, expectations and initiatives for all departments and department managers; inspires, develops, and leads the team to achieve results 

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

• 5+ years proven analytical experience in a multi-channel retail environment; 3+ years as a Store Manager
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Previous flagship and/or high-volume confectionary or Retail experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships 

Requisite Abilities and/or Skills:

• A proven self-starter with experience leading a large team of retail associates
• Open and honest communication skills
• Engaging personality (create legions of Hershey Heroes, Smile Creators, and Memory Makers)
• Must be friendly, outgoing, and confident with an ability to easily build rapport when meeting new people
• Serve-safe certification preferred, or willing to acquire
• Demonstrate strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
• Ability to maintain an elevated level of detail, accuracy under pressure and maintain a transparent systematic approach to analysis and methodologies
• Strong leadership skills: the ability to give clear direction and lead cross-functional, cross-generational, cross-cultural teams to produce results
• Ability to work in a fast paced, limited resource environment, juggling multiple priorities
• Ability to work a fully flexible retail schedule to meet the needs of the business, which will require nights, weekends, and holidays

• Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, walking, standing, and moving items 
• Requires the ability to move around the store, assist customers and maneuver merchandise when necessary
